Constraints on dark energy from the lookback time versus redshift test

چکیده

We use lookback time versus redshift data from galaxy clusters (Capozziello et al. 2004) and passively evolving galaxies (Simon et al. 2005), in combination with the WMAP determination of the age of the Universe, to constrain dark energy cosmological model parameters. Current lookback time data provide interesting and moderately restrictive constraints on cosmological parameters. When used jointly with current baryon acoustic peak and Type Ia supernovae apparent magnitude versus redshift data, lookback time data tighten the constraints on parameters and favor slightly larger values of the nonrelativistic matter energy density. Galaxy Cluster Gas Mass Fraction and Hubble Parameter versus Redshift Constraints on Dark Energy

Galaxy cluster gas mass fraction versus redshift data (Allen et al. 2004) and Hubble parameter versus redshift data (Simon et al. 2005) are used to jointly constrain dark energy models. These constraints favor the Einstein cosmological constant limit of dark energy but do not strongly rule out slowly-evolving dark energy. Dark Energy Models toward Observational Tests and Data

A huge amount of good quality data converges towards the picture of a spatially flat universe undergoing the today observed phase of accelerated expansion. This new observational trend is commonly addressed as Precision Cosmology. Despite of the excellent surveys, the nature of dark energy, dominating the matter-energy content of the universe, is still unknown and a lot of different scenarios a...

Supernova Ia and Galaxy Cluster Gas Mass Fraction Constraints on Dark Energy

We use the Riess et al. (2004) supernova Ia apparent magnitude versus redshift data and the Allen et al. (2004) galaxy cluster gas mass fraction versus redshift data to constrain dark energy models. These data provide complementary constraints that when combined together significantly restrict model parameters and favor slowly-evolving dark energy density models, close to the Einstein cosmologi...

Constraints from Hubble Parameter versus Redshift Data

We use the Simon, Verde, & Jimenez (2005) determination of the redshift dependence of the Hubble parameter to constrain cosmological parameters in three dark energy cosmological models. We consider the standard ΛCDM model, the XCDM parameterization of the dark energy equation of state, and a slowly rolling dark energy scalar field with an inverse power-law potential. The constraints are restric...
